Application:
  • Transparent, glossy craquelé glaze
  • May only be applied once, as it tends to run
  • To avoid blistering, bake at 1000°C
  • Tends to bubble when applied to both sides of some clays
  • The formation of cracks usually occurs during cooling in the oven and increases over time, sometimes taking up to 1 week
  • If no cracks occur, the glaze can also be removed from the kiln at approx. 100°C and quenched in cold water
  • The craquelé net is colored with, for example, black ink, colorful acrylic paints, strong black tea, or similar.
