BOTZ PLUS can be used flexibly in high and low firing ranges – as an effect enhancer, a flux and a special crackle glaze.
Effect enhancer & flux
As an effect enhancer for stoneware glazes, apply BOTZ PLUS over the unfired glaze and fire at approx. 1250 °C. As a flux it lowers the firing temperature by approx. 100 °C when applied completely over the glaze.
Crackle glaze with a silky surface
Applied neat onto stoneware clay and fired at approx. 1050 °C, it creates a special crackle glaze with a fine, silky surface.
