BOTZ engobes are liquid, colored clay – ideal for affordable, uncomplicated designs in bold colors. Apply them to leather-hard, dried, or bisque-fired clay.
Matte or glossy
For a matte, earthy surface, leave the engobe unglazed after the bisque firing. Overglazed with clear glaze, the colors become more intense and glossy during the glaze firing at approx. 1050 °C. Engobes can be mixed with one another (including with BOTZ Glimmer) – for completely individual shades.
