BOTZ Engobes are liquid, coloured clay – ideal for affordable, easy decoration in strong colours. Apply them to leather-hard, dry or bisque-fired clay.
Matt or glossy
For a matt, earthy surface, leave the engobe unglazed after the bisque firing. Covered with Transparent, the colours become more intense and glossy in the glaze firing at approx. 1050 °C. Engobes can be mixed with each other (also with BOTZ Glimmer) to create your own individual colours.
