BOTZ engobes are liquid, colored clay and ideal for inexpensive and uncomplicated design in bright colors. To be applied to leather-hard, dried or biscuited clay. For a matt, earthy surface, leave the engobe unglazed after biscuit firing. Glazed over with transparent, the colors in the glaze firing at 1050° become more intense and shiny. Engobes can be mixed with each other (also with BOTZ Glimmer) to create very individual colours.
